Ravi Teja is all set to entertain his fans this Independence Day. The Telugu star recently left fans thrilled by unveiling the release date of his next titled Mr Bachchan. The film is set in the 1980s and is inspired by real life events. With Ravi returning in his massy avatar, the makers have locked in August 15 as its release date.

Taking to the social media platform X, aka Twitter, Ravi Teja shared a new announcement poster of Mr Bachchan where he looks suave in his all-white look. Along with the release date, the Telugu actor captioned the post saying, “Get Ready!! #MrBachchan is Arriving.. MASSive entertainment begins from this August 15th ?? Premieres on AUG 14th..” Fans too were excited about this announcement and shared their happiness on the platform.

Film to clash with Thangalaan
However, this Independence Day will see a barrage of releases with the Ravi Teja starrer not being the only one to be released. In terms of Pan India entertainers, the highly anticipated Chiyaan Vikram starrer Thangalaan, based on the real story of Kolar Gold Fields, is also expected to release on August 14. Furthermore, the film will be released in all South languages as well as Hindi. Meanwhile, Ravi Teja starrer will also be clashing with a few highly-anticipated Bollywood releases which includes the Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer horror comedy Stree 2 as well as the Sharvari Wagh, John Abraham starrer intense action drama Vedaa.

Based on the real-life incidents that transpired in the early 1980s in the Income Tax raid case of Sardar Inder Singh, Mr Bachchan is the Telugu adaptation of Ajay Devgn starrer 2018 film Raid. The film also stars Bhagyashree Borse as the leading lady and is directed by Harish Shankar. With music by Mickey J. Meyer, cinematography by Ayananka Bose, and art direction by Kolla Avinash, the film is produced under the banner People Media Factory.
