Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are enjoying the best phase of their lives- parenthood. They embraced parenthood in November 2023 and announced the arrival of their twins one month later. They named their twin daughters, Edhaa and Jeeva. Since then, Rubina and Abhinav being avid social media users, keep posting glimpses of their lives, featuring their kids, which are too cute to miss. Now, Rubina opened up about a distressing moment of her life when Edhaa had fallen down the bed.
Rubina Dilaik talks about managing her twins’ routines
In her recent podcast, Rubina Dilaik can be heard conversing with the CEO of Mamaearth, Ghazal Alagh, and both the ladies revealed many unknown anecdotes from their motherhood journey. Talking about Rubina, she discussed about managing her twins’ routines, and mentioned how she is trying to fit her baby girls into the same. The newbie mommy revealed that since both daughters are two different personalities, the little ones have varied demands. She said:
“Right now, when I am with my daughters, we have to make a routine for them. For them, a schedule should be made, they should sleep on time at night, they have to bathe at this time, they have to be fed at this time. So, right now, in the routine itself, we face so many challenges. Because they are two different people and both of them have different personalities and their demands are different. So, we feel that once they come into the routine, they might get some relief.”

Rubina Dilaik shares how it felt when one of her daughters, Edhaa fell from the bed
In the same conversation, Rubina Dilaik narrated the distressing incident when one of her daughters, Edhaa had toppled from the bed. It was when the baby girl was adjusting her position and trying to change her sides just like every kid learning new things in life. Fortunately, the little one didn’t sustain any injury. The doting mommy then opened up about the emotional turmoil she faced after the incident and mentioned experiencing a hundred stab wounds piercing her heart. Rubina revealed:
“The kids have learnt to change their ways. Just a week ago, Edhaa had fallen down from the day bed. I had 100 stab wounds on my heart because I was on the shoot. She didn’t get injured. But on every milestone, we feel that ki yaar ab jaake kuch naya hone wala.”
Rubina once dropped adorable pictures with her husband and twins as they turned three-month-old
On February 27, 2024, Rubina and Abhinav’s twins, Edhaa and Jeeva, turned three months old. Thus, to mark the special day, the doting mommy took to her Instagram handle and posted adorable pictures with them. In the photo, Rubina and Abhinav were seen carrying their daughters in their hands, and the baby girls looked pretty in floral-printed dresses. The little ones were seen clinging to their parents. The doting mommy wore a white-hued dress with colourful sleeves, while the actor twinned with his wife in white-hued ensembles. Alongside the photos, Rubina penned:
“Happy three months to us.”

When Rubina Dilaik revealed the meaning of her daughters’ names
In the first-ever Vlog after her delivery, which was posted on her YouTube channel, Rubina had revealed the meaning of her twin daughters’ names. She disclosed that Edhaa is the name of her elder daughter, while Jeeva is her younger one. Moreover, she shared that both her daughters are named after goddesses, and the names have Sanskrit origin. The actress mentioned that Edhaa means ‘prosperity’, while Jeeva means ‘lifeline’.
