Salman Khan is one of the most eligible bachelors in the Hindi film industry. The actor, who has been working in the industry for nearly four decades now, has had multiple love affairs with some popular faces in showbiz. The 58-year-old has dated Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, and many more. However, Salman, who has reportedly been dating Iulia Vantur, is yet to get married, and the actor’s father, Salim Khan, once spoke about the former’s inhibitions regarding marriage.
Salim Khan says his son, Salman Khan lacks the courage to get married
A video clip featuring a segment of Salim Khan’s old interview has gone viral on social media. In the interview, Salman’s father talked about his son’s marital status and shared that he easily gets into relationships. However, the actor has been hesitant to take them to the next level as he fears that his partner would not have qualities similar to his mother. In Salim Khan’s words:
“He easily gets into a relationship but lacks the courage to get married. He has a very simple nature and gets attracted easily. However, he fears whether the woman will be able to handle the family like his mother does.”

Salim Khan reveals what kind of woman Salman Khan wants in his life
In the same video, Salim Khan explained that his 58-year-old son wanted a woman who would remain committed to her husband and family just like his mother, Salma Khan (Sushila Charak). Salman’s father further added that the actor wanted a woman, who would cook meals for the children and help them with their homework. Sharing that such women are hard to find these days, Salim Khan said:
“He wants the woman to be committed to her husband and family like his mother was. She should cook meals for the children, help them get ready, and get their homework done. However, it isn’t easy in today’s time.”

When Salman Khan talked about his failed relationships
Earlier, an old interview of Salman Khan from Aap Ki Adalat surfaced on the discussion platform, Reddit. The actor addressed whose fault it has been for his failed relationships one after the other. He accepted that he was at fault and all the ladies in his life were really good. Salman said:
“Actually sabhi, sabhi acche the. Fault mujhme hi lie karta hai. Kyuki jab ek jaati hai toh fault unme tha. Doosri jaati hai toh fault unme hi tha. Teesri jaati hai toh faut unhi main hai. Chauthi main thoda sa doubt aata hai ke fault unme hai ya mujhme. Panchvi main bhi 60% 40% ka. Jab usse zyada jaane lagti hain toh voh confirm kar jaate hain ki fault mera hi tha. Toh isme kisi ka dosh nahi hai. Isme bas mera hi dosh hai, shayad ek fear kaho ki main shayad unko voh zindagi voh sukh na de paun jo unke dimaag main hai. And I’m sure sab apni apni jagah bohot khush hain.”
