When Shah Rukh talked about his regret of not telling his parents about his love for them
In another candid conversation on Salman Khan’s show, Dus Ka Dum, Shah Rukh opened up about the importance of parents in one’s life. The actor revealed that he has only one regret in his life that he couldn’t express his love to his parents enough when they were alive. Later, during the promotion of the film, Hichki, Rani Mukerji asked her friends from the industry to share the hiccups they had in their respective lives. To this, her dearest friend, Shah Rukh remarked:
“My greatest ‘Hichki moment’ is the death of my parents. I was 15 when my father passed away and 26 when my mother passed away. It was very sad for us. The empty house without my parents used to come to bite us (my sister and me). The loneliness, pain and sadness of the loss of both my parents, could have been overwhelming enough to take over my life wholly. I decided to overcome this Hichki moment by letting acting fill up my entire life.”
