Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker has voiced her frustration after her Twitter account was allegedly permanently suspended due to alleged copyright violations. In an Instagram post, Swara shared screenshots of the notices she received from the platform, expressing her anger at what she termed as an unfair move.

According to Swara, two of her tweets were flagged for copyright infringement, including one that was simply a Republic Day wish. In a detailed post, Swara explained that her account was locked and eventually disabled after the two images were marked as violating copyright policies. “Dear X, Two images from two tweets have been marked as ‘copyright infringements’. Basis which my X account is locked/disabled, I can’t access it and permanent suspension has been approved by your teams,” she wrote, clearly frustrated by the sudden action taken against her account.

One of the flagged posts, Swara detailed, featured an image with an orange background and a Hindi slogan in Devnagri script that read: “Gandhi Hum Sharmindaa hain, Tere qaatil zinda hain.” The slogan, which has been widely used online, was deemed to be in violation of copyright by X’s moderation team. Swara vehemently denied the claim, calling the slogan “akin to urban modern folk idiom” and pointing out that there was no valid reason for the violation.

Swara’s suspension has sparked a debate online about the platform’s moderation policies, with many users questioning the validity of the claims. The actress, known for her outspoken views on social and political issues, has expressed disappointment with the platform’s alleged lack of transparency and its approach to content regulation.
