The app has gained popularity in Vietnam with discounts of up to 90% and free shipping since its launch in October.

In the month Temu launched in Vietnam, the ministry raised concerns over the app’s “unusually low prices,” fearing it could harm local products.

The ministry questioned whether the goods sold in Temu are authentic.

Temu is one of the fastest-growing apps in Europe but is under investigation by the EU for selling illegal products.

In April, South Korean regulators investigated Temu for potentially unfair practices, including false advertising and poor product quality.
