Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is defying gravity once again! The 62-year-old action star was spotted filming a thrilling stunt for the eighth installment of Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two in Oxfordshire, England.

As per photos and videos shared by The Sun, Cruise, reprising his role as Ethan Hunt, hanging precariously from the wing of a yellow Stearman biplane. The classic aircraft, used during World War II, adds a touch of vintage charm to the high-octane scene. Cruise is joined by actor Esai Morales, who returns as the villainous operative, Gabriel, from Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. Clad in a flight suit, Cruise appears unfazed as he dangles from the aircraft.

The film is poised to be an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride, building upon the success of its 2023 predecessor, Dead Reckoning Part One. Fans can finally mark their calendars for the film’s official release on May 23, 2025.
This entry marks Cruise’s eighth time portraying Ethan Hunt. At the time of the film’s release, Cruise will have embodied the character for nearly three decades.
Cruise won’t be flying solo on this mission. Several familiar faces are confirmed to be returning alongside him. Ving Rhames will once again portray Luther Stickell, the dependable tech wiz of the IMF team. Simon Pegg is set to reprise his role as the witty and resourceful Benji Dunn. Hayley Atwell, who was introduced as Grace in Dead Reckoning Part One, will also be back, with her character likely playing a more prominent role this time around. Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, and Henry Czerny are also rumoured to be returning.
Newcomer Stephen Oyoung has been announced as part of the cast, though details about his character is under wraps. Director Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed Dead Reckoning Part One and several previous Mission: Impossible films, is back at the helm for this installment.
