With a lot of expectations riding high on ARM, that is, the Tovino Thomas starrer Ajayante Randam Moshanam, the film seems to have hit a major roadblock in its release. With the date of the film already being postponed once, it seems that now it has pushed until further notice owing to a legal case filed against the makers, UGM Movies, for fraud and duping a man.

The Ernakulam Sessions Court recently heard the case registered by Dr. Vineeth who has accused the makers UGM Movies of dubious intentions, further alleging that they have borrowed a sum of Rs. 3.5 crores from him as a part of the production investment for ARM. As per 24 News report, owing to the ongoing investigation regarding the same, we hear that the court has ordered a stay in the release of the film, which was to be released during Onam, until the proceedings are complete.
ARM is a big budget entertainer
Considering that the film is based in different eras, it is expected to be one of the biggest releases this year, in terms of budget, along with extensive VFX. However, reports state that the filmmakers are facing financial challenges because of the magnum opus, along with difficulties in locking the theatrical and OTT rights of the same. With the film’s release already being derailed from May to the monsoon season during Onam due to these issues, now the makers will not be able to announce the new release date until the legal battle ends.

Being one of the biggest releases for Tovino Thomas, the film, set in the Northern Kerala in 1900, 1950 and 1990, traces the journey of three generations of heroes Maniyan, Kunjikelu and Ajayan, as they try to protect the most important treasure of the land. The film also boasts of an ensemble cast of Basil Joseph, Krithi Shetty, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Surabhi Lakshmi who will be essaying key roles in this period fantasy action drama.
