As the seventh anniversary of their film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ rolled around on Sunday, Varun Dhawan took to Instagram to share a lighthearted note about his co-star Alia Bhatt and director Shashank Khaitan, playfully suggesting they had a great time working with him.
Varun reshared a memorable moment from the 2017 film originally posted by Dharma Movies on the platform. In the clip, he humorously wrote, “7 years back @shashankkhaitan and @aliabhatt had a great time working with me. I also enjoyed their company in Badrinath Ki Dulhania.”
Additionally, Varun shared a collage featuring himself alongside Alia and captioned it, “7 years of Badri & Vaidehi.”
‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ followed the success of the 2014 blockbuster ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. The film revolves around an aspiring independent air hostess from a small town who refuses to conform to the patriarchal expectations of her chauvinistic fiancé.
On the professional front, Varun Dhawan will next be seen in ‘Baby John’, a remake of Atlee’s Tamil film ‘Theri’, and the Indian adaptation of ‘Citadel’, alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is set to appear in ‘Jigra’.
