Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s film Jigra has received mixed reviews since its release on October 11, but continues to perform steadily at the box office. Recently, Vedang Raina posted a heartfelt thank-you message on social media, along with photos of the Jigra team and Alia Bhatt. He expressed his appreciation for the wonderful experience of working on the film.

Vedang took to Instagram and stated, “This whole experience has been nothing short of a dream!! Biggest hug to the greatest team ever for making this happen. I love you guys. Really. Thank you. And to all of you who have been writing to me, I see you and I love you. We only do all of this and try our best everyday for you guys, so thank you for all of the love, it means everything. It really was the greatest feeling in the world meeting all of you in person. I’ll see you again very very soon. Love, Ankur Anand.”
Fans immediately reacted when he published the photographs. One fan remarked, “Watched Jigra twice, will watch again what a phenomenal job! Only upwards from here! Cant wait to see what you have in store for us, so excited.” Another wrote, “You are phenomenal in the film..brilliant acting, brilliant singing..everything is just tooooo good! You’re gonna go a long long lonnngggg way..this is just the beginning!”
Industry experts point out that negative social media sentiment is also affecting the film’s performance. A major controversy arose when Divya Khossla Kumar accused Alia Bhatt of inflating box office numbers by allegedly buying tickets to boost earnings. Kumar shared a photo of an empty theater on Instagram, questioning the accuracy of the reported figures and suggesting that the film’s success was exaggerated. Her claims, including that most theaters were empty, led to increased scrutiny.
On the work front, Bhatt’s next project is Alpha, where she will star alongside Sharvari.
