Since his feature film debut in 2013, Vikrant Massey has been a part of numerous highly acclaimed projects, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. His roles in 12th Fail and other recent movies have been particularly memorable. However, his recent cryptic post about leaving Bollywood has left everyone in shock. His statement about needing to ‘recalibrate’ has left fans heartbroken.
Vikrant Massey’s Instagram post on December 2, 2024, appeared to be an announcement of his retirement from acting. In his heartfelt message, he expressed his deep appreciation for everyone who has supported him, saying, ‘The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support.’
Then he revealed that he needed to go back home. According to the actor, “But as I move forward, I realise its time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor.”
Vikrant Massey announced that he will be appearing in his final two movies in the upcoming year, adding a note of hope by saying, ‘So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories.’
Finally, he said, “Thank you again. For everything and everything in between. Forever indebted.”
In 2023, actor Vikrant Massey and director Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film 12th Fail became a huge hit. He played Manoj Kumar Sharma, an IPS officer. His movies The Sabarmati Report and Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba were later released.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah praised the Sabarmati Report, which is deemed tax-free in multiple states. The Godhra train incident in real life inspired the movie.
