Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma have been hitting the headlines ever since rumours about their second pregnancy surfaced on the internet. Since then, they have been constantly papped at various places, and netizens didn’t miss the chance to speculate the same with the couple’s alleged actions in the public, including hiding her baby bump in oversized dresses to the doting mommy not carrying their firstborn, Vamika in her arms due to rumoured pregnancy and many more such instances. Meanwhile, a few days back, there were reports that Virat rushed towards his home due to a family emergency. But now the real reason behind the same has been revealed.
Virat Kohli didn’t rush from South Africa to meet Anushka Sharma, instead it was a planned leave
As per a report in Cricbuzz, Virat Kohli didn’t leave the tour to South Africa along with his team, mid-way due to a medical emergency, instead it was a planned leave. He has returned to his wife, Anushka Sharma, after taking permission from the team management and the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The concerned organisations were well aware of Virat’s plans and that he was never going to play the inter-squad game in Pretoria that happened from December 20, 2023, to December 22, 2023. In addition, he didn’t come to Mumbai, and met Anushka in London. However, as per many other reports, he returned to South Africa on December 24, 2023, for the Boxing Day test match between India and South Africa, which will take place on December 26, 2023.

When reports claimed Virat Kohli returned home due to a family emergency
Earlier, Virat Kohli travelled to South Africa for the two-Test series along with the Indian cricket team. However, a BCCI source revealed to PTI that the Indian cricketer returned to India due to a family emergency. However, by then, Virat was anticipated to rejoin the Indian squad ahead of the first test match against South Africa. The test match is scheduled to begin on December 26, 2023, in Centurion. The source stated, “Virat Kohli has returned to India due to a family emergency. But he will be back before start of the first Test.” Well, another tweet claimed Virat went to meet Anushka in London.

As soon as the news of Virat rushing to meet Anushka amid his South Africa tour with the Indian team, was shared on social media, netizens flooded the post’s comment section with their reactions. One netizen commented, “Junior kohli aa rahe hai”. Another user wrote, “Ha Anushka bhabhi ko bachha hone wala hai.” One more netizen penned, “Delivery ka time ho gya Anushka ji ka I suppose.”

Anushka Sharma was spotted hiding her baby bump in an oversized jacket at the airport
Earlier, on December 17, 2023, Anushka Sharma was also spotted at the airport donning an oversized jacket in order to camouflage her baby bump. She paired it with white pants and was seen carrying a huge canvas bag from the label, Fendi. She was accompanied by her daughter, Vamika, and her mother, Ashima. Amid her second pregnancy, Anushka chose not to hold Vamika in her arms and sent her inside the airport with her mother. One of the fan pages shared an adorable video of Vamika, along with her nani, Ashima Sharma, and although blurred but the little one’s glimpse was simply a delight to the eyes.
