Watch: Pastor asks congregation to stand, Biden keeps sitting in another goof up | World News
During a recent church ceremony in Pennsylvania, US President Joe Biden found himself in an awkward situation when he appeared to remain seated in a trance-like state after the pastor asked the congregation to stand, finally rising after approximately 25 seconds.
The incident, captured on video and shared by the Opposition Republican National Committee’s research team on the social media platform X, has increased doubts about Biden’s suitability for office.
The incident happened during a campaign stop in Philadelphia.

At 81 years old, Biden faces increasing pressure to reconsider his presidential bid, especially in light of his lackluster performance in the recent presidential debate against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
During the debate, Biden appeared visibly strained, struggled with coherence, and at times appeared to lose track of his thoughts, leading many to question his ability to lead effectively.
In a subsequent interview with ABC News, Biden admitted to his poor performance, attributing it to exhaustion and inadequate preparation.
Despite calls for him to step aside, Biden remains defiant, dismissing such suggestions as “nonsense” in a fundraising email on Saturday.
He humorously set a high bar for any potential withdrawal, stating, “If the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me that, I might do that.”
Earlier this week, former Obama senior adviser David Axelrod publicly urged Biden to drop out of the 2024 contest due to concerns about his competence and age.
If Biden were to withdraw from the campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly the front-runner, despite his supporters’ continued confidence in his ability to allay worries from donors and voters in the upcoming months.
US President Joe Biden, a Democrat, and Republican former President Donald Trump will face each other in the 2024 presidential election on November 5. The results for the decisive elections are expected to be out by later in November.
