‘Zero tolerance against terror’: Yogi lauds PM | Elections News
CHIEF MINISTER Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a “zero tolerance” policy against terrorism.
Adityanath was addressing an election meeting at Chandpur in Bijnor district ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. He said, “It is only Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has a zero tolerance policy against terrorism and also has the courage to kill enemies of the nation by storming their own den. The air strike in Pakistan after the Pulwama attack was proof that there is no difference between the words and actions of the PM.
Adityanath also cited Modi’s remarks after the 2019 terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, when the PM said that the “sacrifice of our security personnel would not go in vain.” The CM made the remarks while referring to a recent report in The Guardian newspaper.
“Do din pehle Guardian akhbaar me khabar chapi hai jisme sutro ke hawale se dava kiya gaya hai ki do varsh pehle Pakistan mein 20 atankwadi maare gaye the. Mujhe ye nahi pata ki akhbar ke sutra kya hai lekin ye pata hai ki Pulwama hamle ke baad Modi Ji ne kaha tha ki Pulwama ka balidan vyarth nahi jayega (A report published in The Guardian two days ago in which it was claimed through sources that a number of terrorists were killed in Pakistan two years ago. The source of this news must be known to that newspaper but I do remember that after the Pulwama attack in 2019, Modiji said the sacrifice of Pulwama martyrs will not go in vain),” said Yogi.
“Could anyone have thought five years ago that Article 370 would be abrogated in J&K and terrorism and Naxalism would become fears of the past? Since 2014, our international borders are fully secured and like the nation, could anyone dream before 2017 in UP that this state would ever be freed of curfews or that after a wait of 500 years a magnificent temple of Ram will come up in Ayodhya? This could all become true because of the power of one vote… wrested in your hand,” claimed the CM.
