NO CONFIDENCE MOTION BY I.N.D.I.A AGAINST BHARAT GOVERNMENT

I.N.D.I.A AGAINST BHAARAT IN THE PARLIAMENT

The United Opposition I.N.D.I.A instigated a no-confidence motion against  Modi government today. The opposition took the opportunity  to compel the Prime Minister to speak on the pressing Manipur ethnic violence issue. PM has spoken empathetically before on the issue, but not at least once on the floor of the house.

FILING A MOTION OF NO CONFIDENCE AGAINST THE BHAARAT SARKAR

The MPs of the opposition led by the INC filed their plea supporting the motion of no confidence before 10 AM. This was done early so that the speaker of the house Mr. Om Birla has enough time to review them and see if the notice meets the support criteria of 50 MPs. The motion was tabled by the opposition and passed evidently. The Speaker said he will set a debate within 10 days for only 24 Hours as per the ROPs laid in the constitution.

Though confident, the opposition is well aware of the BJPs status in the house having a powerful number of 301 seats.  This number is greater than what all the parties have in combine.

MOTION OF NO CONFIDENCE MOVED BY GAURAV GOGOI

GAURAV GOGOI Deputy Leader of Indian National Congress, Lok Sabha Moving The No Confidence Motion

As per ANI Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi before filing no confidence himself says a while before the session began, “I.N.D.I.A. alliance is aware of its numbers in the Lok Sabha but this is not just about numbers. This is about Manipur’s fight for justice. A message should go out to the brothers and sisters of Manipur. PM Modi might have forgotten Manipur.  We  I.N.D.I.A alliance stands with them in this hour of grief and we are fighting for their rights, inside the Parliament. We want to tell PM Modi to come to the Parliament and address the nation. As this matter is not about Manipur alone anymore but it has spread over to other states as well. In the interest of national security and integrity of the country, the PM should address the country from inside the Parliament…”

Not including YSR Congress (22), BJD (12), BSP (9), Akali Dal (2) and JD-S (1). The I.N.D.I.A can only garner 154 votes with AIMIM and BRS with it.

Though  HM Amit Shah reassured that the ruling party was ready to discuss and debate Manipur issue on the floor of both the houses constructively, the opposition upon  receiving  a notice in both the houses of the parliament denied and moved towards filing the motion. The opposition remains confident as claimed that their only resort to seek an active explanation from the PM would be achieved by filing this motion.

BHAARAT SARKAR LEADERS ON I.N.D.I.A ‘S AVISHWAAS

Prime Minister’s Prediction From 2019 Stands True

PM Narendra Modi addressed  the Vice-President earlier today in Rajya Sabha. He said his government has worked to benefit the North Eastern states. Manipur was benefitted through various national schemes erasing all the “bhed of tera-mera, apna-paraya”. This was done through saturating all the schemes and that his government is unlike the Congresses’ practicing “tushtikaran ki rajneeti”. And that his government  always work on ‘shreya maarg’ for good of the society rather than much easier approach of adopting ‘ Priya marg”.

Not to forget this is not the first time during Narendra Modi’s term that he is facing the ordeal. The last time he and his government did faced similar situations in 2018. Mr. Modi defeated the opposition. BHAARAT then showed confidence in the government in successive 2019 general elections. In 2019 returning to parliament after his win he sarcastically cited that the opposition again might not have confidence in the government.  This lack of confidence might again bring such motions in 2023.
